No gambling is offered here
Obsidian Shore is a land-based casino hotel. Caldera Hall is a physical room with real tables, real dealers and real chips bought at a cage. This website is a description of that place and nothing else. It does not run casino games, does not accept bets or wagers, does not hold balances, and does not take or make any payment. Any site that appears to offer online play in our name is not ours, and we would be glad to hear about it.
Accuracy, and what is not a contract
We write these pages carefully and review them, but a hotel changes: a kitchen closes for a refit, a dealer calls in sick and a table stays shut, a storm cancels the Saturday fire pit, opening hours move with the season. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance, a guarantee of availability or a fixed price. A reservation exists only once reception has confirmed it to you directly, on the terms agreed in that exchange.
Intellectual property
The text, the layout, the stylesheet, the drawn mark and the photographs that may appear on these pages belong to Obsidian Shore Casino Resort or are used by us with permission. Read the site, print a page for yourself and link to it from wherever you like. Copying the text wholesale onto another site, republishing it, or using our name or mark to imply a connection that does not exist, is not permitted.

We link to three independent support organisations on the Responsible Gaming page. They are run by other people, we have no control over them and no commercial relationship with any of them, and we are not responsible for what their sites contain. We link to them because they are useful. Nothing else on this site leads to a third-party service.
Conduct at the resort
Once you are on the property a short list of house rules applies, and staff enforce them:
- Photo identification is produced at the casino door on every visit, without argument.
- Guests who are visibly intoxicated are not admitted to Caldera Hall and are not served at the tables.
- Phones stay off the gaming tables and photography is not permitted inside the casino floor, so that other guests keep their privacy.
- The beach is not supervised and the sea is frequently dangerous. Swim in the cold channel on the lower terrace, and respect the warning flag on the dune path.
- Abuse of staff or of other guests ends a visit immediately, and a room booking with it.
- Credit is not available anywhere in the resort, chips cannot be charged to a room account, and there is no cash machine on the casino floor.
Availability of the site
These are static pages on ordinary hosting. They will occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or because something upstream has broken. We do not promise uninterrupted access and we do not owe you anything if the site is down when you wanted to read it. Reception is staffed around the clock and can be reached by email in the meantime.
Liability
We accept responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Beyond that, and so far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website, from reliance on information that has since changed, or from any gambling conducted anywhere at all. Playing a casino game involves losing money, and that risk is yours alone.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute about them or about this website, are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the resort is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction. If a clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the remainder stands unaffected. Nothing in this section removes a consumer right you hold where you live.
